Stable One UI 8.5 update is now rolling out to Galaxy S24 FE in the US

Samsung’s stable One UI 8.5 rollout is picking up pace. The Galaxy S24 FE is now receiving the update in the US, bringing Android 16 QPR2, a refreshed interface, and a batch of new features to the mid-range flagship.

The update arrives with firmware version F741USQU3DZDP, according to tipster Mohammed Khatri (via X). Samsung first pushed the stable One UI 8.5 build to the Galaxy S24 FE in South Korea earlier this week, and the US is now following suit. The rest of the Galaxy S24 lineup, including the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, also started receiving the update in the US earlier today.

For those who are unaware, One UI 8.5 is based on Android 16 QPR2 and brings a number of changes to the interface along with feature additions. The update went through an extended beta phase before Samsung began pushing the stable version out, so most of the rough edges should be ironed out at this point.

If you have a Galaxy S24 FE in the US and haven’t received a notification yet, you can manually check for the update by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Given that these rollouts tend to be staged, it may take a day or two to reach your device if it hasn’t shown up already.
