Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy A36, bringing the beta program to a close after roughly six weeks of testing. The rollout is currently limited to South Korea, where the update is going out with firmware version A366NKSU6CZDA.
One UI 8.5 is based on Android 16 QPR2, and the Galaxy A36 is one of the A-series devices Samsung has been testing the software on in recent weeks. With the stable build now live, A36 owners in Korea can expect to receive the OTA notification soon, if they haven’t already.
For those outside South Korea, a broader rollout will likely follow in the coming days or weeks. That’s pretty standard practice for Samsung, which typically uses its home market as the first stop before pushing updates to other regions.
If you want to check whether the update is available on your device, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install. It’s also worth checking if your Galaxy A36 is on the One UI 8.5 eligible devices list and when it’s expected to arrive in your region by visiting our One UI 8.5 rollout tracker.
We’ll keep you updated as the stable One UI 8.5 rollout expands to more regions and devices.
