One UI 8.5 stable update is available for these Galaxy devices

After five months of beta testing, Samsung’s stable One UI 8.5 update has finally started reaching users, and the rollout is moving quickly. South Korea got it first in early May, followed by the global rollout kicking off on May 11.

The Galaxy S25 was first in line, and Samsung didn’t slow down from there. Flagship foldables, older S-series phones, and even devices that sat out the beta program entirely, like the Galaxy S25 Edge and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, have started receiving the update. That last bit is a little surprising, since those two models were never part of the beta program but jumped straight to the stable release alongside everything else.

Here’s a list of Galaxy devices confirmed to have received the stable One UI 8.5 update so far:

  • Galaxy S25
  • Galaxy S25+
  • Galaxy S25 Ultra
  • Galaxy S25 Edge
  • Galaxy S25 FE
  • Galaxy S24
  • Galaxy S24+
  • Galaxy S24 Ultra
  • Galaxy S24 FE
  • Galaxy Z TriFold
  • Galaxy Z Fold 7
  • Galaxy Z Flip 7
  • Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE
  • Galaxy Z Fold 6
  • Galaxy Z Flip 6
  • Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition

The list will keep growing. Samsung has officially confirmed One UI 8.5 support for more devices, including several mid-range and budget phones, and we’ll keep this updated as the rollout expands.

If your device is on the list and you haven’t received a notification yet, head to Settings > Software updates and tap Download and install. The rollout is happening in phases, so if nothing shows up, give it a few more days.

It’s worth keeping in mind that Samsung is already looking ahead. The One UI 9 beta program is now live, built on Android 17, with the stable One UI 9 debut expected in July 2026 on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8. That means Samsung is essentially running two major software tracks at the same time, and it’ll be interesting to see how quickly the One UI 8.5 rollout wraps up before attention shifts entirely to One UI 9.
