Samsung has nearly updated all eligible premium and mid-range Galaxy devices to Android 14, and the focus in now on the low-end budget phones. In the last few days, many budget Galaxy phones have been upgraded to the latest Android version, and more devices are getting the same treatment. The latest receipient to get the Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update is the Galaxy A05s.
The One UI 6.0 update for Galaxy A05s is rolling out in Asia with the firmware version A057FXXU2BXA8. More specifically, it’s available in Indonesia and Vietnam as I write this post. However, once the ball’s rolling, it only takes a few days before the update expands to more and more countries.
Since it’s a major update, be ready to spend around around 2GB of your internet quota to get the latest Android 14 and One UI 6 features. The update also includes the January 2024 security patch, which resolves around 65 vulnerabilities found in the previous software version.
After upgrading to One UI 6, you’ll have a redesigned Quick Settings panel separated into multiple sections to look clearer. The update also brings new lock screen customizations, new widgets, an improved Media Player, and many more changes.
If you have a Galaxy A05s and live in Asia, the update could reach your device anytime soon. To manually check for new updates, go to Settings > Software updates and tap Download and install.
