A few days ago, Samsung kicked off the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update rollout for Galaxy A13, but it was limited to South Korea. Now, the update is available for the locked Galaxy A13 units in the US.
The Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update for Galaxy A13 is rolling out with the firmware version A135USQU7DXA2. The update is available for the carrier-locked models as I write this post. However, it should not take more than a few days to reach all the models.
One UI 6.0 brings plenty of improvements and new features to Galaxy smartphones. First of all, there’s a redesigned Quick Panel layout, which looks better to me than the previous one. It also brings new lock screen customizations, a new default font, new widgets, and an updated media player waveform animations.
The latest update also brings an improved Gallery app with more photo editing tools. Besides One UI 6 goodies, it incorporates the December 2023 security patch to fix around 65 vulnerabilities found in the previous software.
If you have a locked Galaxy A13 device in the US, download the latest update by navigating to Settings > Software update and hitting the Download and install update. Ensure that your device has at least 50% battery before installing the update.
