Galaxy M02 Getting a New Update, and It’s Disappointing

Samsung has released a new software update for Galaxy M02. It’s good to see long software support for an entry-level phone released in 2021, but the update isn’t a major one. It doesn’t even bring a newer security patch.

The latest update for Galaxy M02 brings the December 2023 security patch. So, even after this update, the device lags by a couple of months. Samsung has already started rolling out the February 2024 security patch, which will spread to more and more devices in the coming days and weeks.

The latest update for Galaxy M02 has been spotted in Panama. Hopefully, Samsung won’t take too long to bring it to other markets. It’s rolling out in the regions with the firmware version M022MUBS4BXA1.

If you have a Galaxy M02, check if a new update is available to download and install. Go to Settings > Software update and hit the Download and install option.
