New Huawei phone with 66W fast charging get 3C certified, Could be Huawei P50 or Nova 9 series
Huawei is expected to unveil the P50 flagship series in July this year. Recent reports suggest that the company is also working on Nova 9 series, which is expected to debut in China as early as August. Today, a new Huawei phone has been listed on the 3C certification that has model number JAD-AL50. The 3C listing reveals that this new Huawei phone supports 4G LTE connectivity and 66W of fast charging.
The listing does not reveal the smartphone’s name, but a Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station believes that the phone either belongs to the Huawei P50 series or Nova 9 series. He also reveals that the phone runs HarmonyOS, which will be common for all the upcoming Huawei phones.
Huawei P50 series
The Huawei P50 flagship series is expected to have three models – Huawei P50, P50 Pro, and P50 Pro+. Last month, the company hinted at the arrival by teasing the rear camera setup which shows two large circular camera sections. The first one has three camera sensors and the second cutout has one sensor and an LED flash.
Some Chinese reports in the past claimed that the company will unveil mostly 4G-enabled phones in the P50 series due to chipset shortage issues. However, the P50 Pro and P50 Pro+ are expected to bring 5G connectivity. It is also reported that Qualcomm may supply LTE-only Snapdragon 888 chipset, and the rest models may use Kirin 9000 chipset.
