Android 16 stable release is around the corner
While One UI 7 continues to roll out, all eyes are slowly turning toward the next big thing — Android 16. Google has already completed multiple developer previews and beta releases, with the platform now in its final testing stages. If Google sticks to its timeline, the stable version of Android 16 should go live sometime in Q2 2025, and early reports hint at a possible May release.

Samsung, on its part, isn’t wasting any time. Multiple One UI 8 test builds — based on Android 16—have already been spotted on the company’s servers. This suggests Samsung is gearing up to bring the next major update to its flagship models faster than before.
Hopefully, with One UI 8, Samsung will handle things better and timely updates — something it lacked strongly with One UI 7.
