Samsung Drops a Huge 1.3GB Update for Galaxy S20 FE 5G

Samsung is quickly expanding the February 2024 security patch reach to more and more Galaxy devices, and the latest recipient is the Galaxy S20 FE 5G. It’s more than just a new security patch, as the software package has a download size of over 1GB.

The latest software update for Galaxy S20 FE 5G is rolling out in Brazil with the firmware version G781BXXU9HXA5. It should only be a matter of a few days before the update expands to other Latin American countries.

As for the changes, the update brings the February 2024 security patch, which resolves 72 vulnerabilities for enhanced security. Since the update has a download size of around 1.3GB, it could also bring performance and stability improvements and new versions of some stock applications.

If you own a Galaxy S20 FE 5G in Brazil, check for new updates by going to Settings > Software update and hitting the Download and install button.

Samsung released the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in 2020 with Android 10 out of the box. It received three Android upgrades over the next three years; hence, the device now runs on Android 13. Sadly, it will remain on Andriod 13 for the rest of its life, as it’s not eligible for further Android updates.
