Samsung has wrapped up the One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy S24 series and is now pushing the stable update to users. The rollout is starting in South Korea, with other markets expected to follow soon.
The Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra are all receiving the update (via Tarun Vats), which carries firmware version S92xNKSU5DZOP. If you’re coming from the stable One UI channel, expect to download just over 4GB. Beta participants have a much lighter lift at 371MB. Samsung opened the One UI 8.5 beta for the S24 series back in March, so the stable release comes roughly a month and a half later.

As for global availability, Samsung hasn’t put a date on it, but given how these rollouts typically go, other regions could start seeing the update later this week.
What’s new in One UI 8.5?
One UI 8.5 brings along everything that came with Android 16 QPR2, plus Samsung’s own additions on top. The interface has been refreshed, and while design is always a matter of personal taste, the new look does feel cleaner. Quick Share now supports AirDrop compatibility, which makes cross-platform file transfers a bit less of a hassle. Galaxy AI features have also been updated and improved across the board.
Samsung has also put more customization options in users’ hands, giving greater control over how the software looks and behaves. Several system apps have received redesigned interfaces that tie in better with the overall visual direction of One UI 8.5. It’s a solid package for a mid-cycle update.
To check if the update has reached your device, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. If it’s not showing up yet, give it a day or two since regional rollouts tend to be gradual. You can also follow our Telegram or WhatsApp channel for a heads-up the moment Samsung expands the rollout to more markets.
It’s worth keeping in mind that the stable One UI 8.5 rollout has been making its way through Samsung’s lineup, so the S24 series joining the list isn’t a surprise. We’ll keep you updated as Samsung confirms more regions and devices.
