The One UI 8.5 stable rollout for the Galaxy S25 Edge has now arrived in the US, just days after Samsung first pushed the update in South Korea.
South Korea got it on May 6, and the US is now part of the second rollout phase. If you’re on a Galaxy S25 Edge in the US, you may already have a notification waiting. You can also check manually by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. The firmware version to look out for is S937USQU6CZDP.
What’s worth pointing out here is that Samsung skipped the public beta program entirely for the S25 Edge. While the Galaxy S25 series went through months of One UI 8.5 beta testing, S25 Edge owners are jumping straight from One UI 8.0 to the stable build, with no beta phase in between. Samsung seems to have relied on internal testing and the Korea-first deployment to work out any remaining issues before the broader push.
The update is built on Android 16 and brings a noticeably refreshed experience. Animations are smoother, system elements have been redesigned, and the Quick Panel picks up new customization options. On the Galaxy AI front, Bixby gets improved natural language processing, and users also gain access to Call Screening and Creative Studio.
Samsung had already confirmed that North America, India, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Latin America would all follow shortly after the Korea launch. The US rollout landing this quickly suggests things are moving on schedule. Other regions should start seeing the update roll out in the coming days.
