Samsung has officially confirmed which countries will get access to the One UI 9 beta program, and the list is fairly familiar if you’ve followed previous beta rollouts.
Six markets are confirmed for the testing phase: Korea, Germany, India, Poland, the US, and the UK. Korea will almost certainly go first, with the US, UK, and Germany expected to follow closely. India and Poland will likely be part of a second phase, though Samsung hasn’t spelled out the exact order of things.
The One UI 9 beta program is starting with the Galaxy S26 series, which is the only lineup Samsung has explicitly named so far. That said, based on how previous cycles have played out, more Galaxy devices should get added to the program down the line. Eligible Galaxy S26 users in the supported regions can sign up through the Samsung Members app once registration opens. Spots are limited, as is always the case with Samsung’s beta programs.
As for what One UI 9 actually brings, Samsung’s beta announcement highlights a handful of new and updated features. There are new tools inside Samsung Notes, a shortcut to Creative Studio tucked into the Contacts app, a refreshed Quick Panel design, and accessibility tweaks including adjustable Mouse Key speed options. Security gets some attention too, with stronger protection against suspicious apps and potential threats.
Looking beyond the beta phase, the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide are expected to be the first devices to ship with One UI 9 out of the box. You can check out the full list of devices eligible for the One UI 9 beta to see if your Galaxy makes the cut.
