One UI 9.0 beta for Galaxy S26 series expands to more regions

Samsung One UI 9

Samsung’s One UI 9.0 beta program is spreading fast. After launching in South Korea, the UK, and the US, the company has now opened the beta to users in India, and the build they’re getting appears to be ahead of what other regions received initially.

The update carries firmware version S94xBXXU2ZZEQ and weighs in at roughly 3.76GB, as spotted by Tarun Vats. That’s a sizeable download, but more interesting is what the firmware version itself suggests. Based on the build identifier, this looks like a newer iteration compared to the first One UI 9.0 beta that went live in other countries. Samsung may effectively be rolling out what could be considered Beta 2 for the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra in those regions soon.

It’s a pattern Samsung has used before. When a beta program expands to new markets, the company sometimes ships a slightly more refined build rather than the exact version earlier testers received. Indian Galaxy S26 users joining the program now might actually be getting a cleaner experience out of the gate. That said, Samsung hasn’t officially labeled this as a second beta, so we’ll have to wait and see how the numbering plays out across countries.

For those who are unaware, the Galaxy S26 series has already been picking up software updates since launch, and the One UI 9.0 beta represents the next major leap for the lineup. Samsung unveiled One UI 9.0 earlier this month, positioning it as the company’s next big Android customization for Galaxy phones and tablets. The development of One UI 9 has been underway for a while, and seeing the beta reach multiple markets this quickly suggests Samsung is moving at a decent pace.

Right now, the beta is limited to the Galaxy S26 series. There’s no word yet on whether Samsung plans to bring it to older devices before the stable release, similar to how the One UI 8.5 beta program was eventually considered for expansion beyond the S25 series. We’ll keep you updated as more countries and devices get added to the program.
