Will Galaxy A73 5G Get One UI 6.1 Update
Samsung has not yet released a list of One UI 6.1 supported devices. However, the brand typically releases incremental updates to all devices that get the major One UI update.
Since the Galaxy A73 5G has already received the One UI 6.0 update, it’s pretty much confirmed to receive the One UI 6.1 upgrade as well.

What’s New in One UI 6.1
One UI 6.1 is flooded with Galaxy AI features, but those have been reserved for select premium Galaxy smartphones, such as the S23 series, Fold 5, Flip 5, and Note 20 series.
Those Galaxy AI features are very unlikely to come to Galaxy A73 and any other mid-range Galaxy phone. So, what does One UI 6.1 have to offer?
Well, One UI 6.1 contains smoother animations, performance tweaks, and some new and improved camera features, such as improved single-take mode, a new long-exposure feature, and the ability to colorize B&W images.
The new One UI version could also bring cross-device video editing support and HDR video support in social apps, such as Instagram.

[May 16, 2024]: Samsung Galaxy A73 5G is now getting the One UI 6.1 update. It’s currently rolling out in Malaysia, but won’t take long to expand to more and more regions. (source)
[February 21, 2024]: Samsung has announced that One UI 6.1 will start rolling out in late March 2024. Sadly, this rollout timeline is for devices that are eligible for Galaxy AI, which includes the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series.
Samsung didn’t announce when the next One UI upgrade will be available for older devices that won’t get Galaxy AI, such as Galaxy A73.
[February 10, 2024]: The first One UI 6.1 test build for the Galaxy A73 5G has been spotted (via @Tarunvats33) on the server. It has the firmware version A736BXXU6EXB1. It means that Samsung is internally testing the One UI 6.1 build on the Galaxy A73 5G.
[January 18, 2024]: Samsung has confirmed the initial list of devices that’ll get Galaxy AI features, and unfortunately, it doesn’t include the Galaxy A73 5G. It doesn’t mean the device won’t get One UI 6.1 update. It will get the update but without Galaxy AI features.
Samsung has revealed that One UI 6.1 with Galaxy AI will roll out to those select premium devices in H1 2024, which means before June 2024. Based on this, we can predict that the update will come to Galaxy A73 in H2 2024.
[January 17, 2024]: During the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event today, Samsung announced that Galaxy AI features are coming to select premium devices. However, they didn’t reveal device names.
