Samsung Galaxy A53 5G One UI 6.0 Update Tracker

I have created this post to keep you updated with the latest One UI 6.0 and Android 14 rollout progress for your Samsung Galaxy A53 5G.

Android 14 is an exciting upgrade for Samsung Galaxy owners, as it brings cool UI changes and a lot of improvements. For instance, One UI 6.0 brings a redesigned quick settings panel, camera app improvements, and notification improvements to make them look better. There are also additional lock screen customizations.

The Galaxy A53 5G is eligible for the Android 14 update with One UI 6.0 update.

But how long will it continue to receive updates?

Well, according to Samsung’s promise, the Galaxy A53 5G will receive four generations of OS updates. Since it was released with Android 12, it will receive OS updates until Android 16.

[January 3, 2024]: Samsung is now spreading the One UI 6.0 update to Galaxy A53 5G users in Brazil. The latest update bears the firmware version A536EXXS8DWL5. It brings all the new features and improvements from One UI 6 and the December 2023 security patch.

[December 31, 2023]: The unlocked Galaxy A53 5G units start getting the One UI 6.0 update in the United States. It is rolling out over-the-air carrying the firmware version A536EXXS8DWLB. In addition to the One UI 6 goodies, users are also getting the December 2023 security patch.

[December 29, 2023]: Verizon has brought One UI 6 to its Galaxy A53 5G users via the latest software update. It comes with the One UI build version A536VSQU9DWL2 and brings the December 2023 security patch, besides the new One UI 6 features and improvements.

[December 11, 2023]: Stable One UI 6.0 update for the Galaxy A53 5G reaches the United States. For now, the carrier-locked models are getting updated, and in the next few days, the update should be available for unlocked models, too.

[December 7, 2023]: The Galaxy A53 is getting the stable Android 14 update with One UI 6.0 update in India. It can be identified by the firmware version A536EXXU7DWK6. Currently, the update is only available for those who were testing One UI 6.0 beta, but it should reach the remaining users in the next few days.

The update has a download size of around 347MB. Since beta testers have installed the One UI 6.0, hence a smaller update size. Other users may have to download a bulky update of around 3GB.

[November 28, 2023]: Samsung is rolling out the stable Android 14 update with One UI 6.0 update to Galaxy A53 5G. Currently, the update is rolling out in the UK, but it’s only a matter of time before it reaches other regions.

The update weighs around 2.3GB. In addition to Android 14 and One UI 6.0 goodies, it also brings the November 2023 security patch.

[November 22, 2023]: Recently, Samsung released its One UI 6.0 rollout plans for the South Korean users. Now, it’s time for the One UI 6.0 timeline for Germany.

Samsung is planning to release the One UI 6.0 update to Galaxy A53 5G users in Germany in December. Around the same time, the update will be released for South Korean users as well.

[November 20, 2023]: Samsung has revealed its rollout plan for the stable One UI 6.0 update for South Korean users. According to it, the Galaxy A53 5G will get the One UI 6.0 update in December.

[October 12, 2023]: The second One UI 6.0 beta update is now live for the Galaxy A53 5G. It comes with the firmware version A536EXXU7ZWJ1 and a download size of around 1GB.

The One UI 6.0 beta 2 update for the Galaxy A53 5G is available in India but shouldn’t take long to expand to more regions. According to the changelog, the update brings a lot of fixes and improvements. It also includes the October 2023 security patch.

[September 27, 2023]: Samsung is surprisingly rolling out the One UI 6.0 beta update to the Galaxy A53 5G. It’s currently available in India, with more regions to follow in the coming days.

The first One UI 6.0 beta for the Galaxy A53 5G comes with firmware version A536EXXU7ZWIA.

[October 4, 2023]: Google has now released the stable version of Android 14. It will be available for eligible Google Pixel first, before other devices.

[September 20, 2023]: Finally!!! Google has now released Android 14 QRP1 to eligible Pixel devices. QPRs (Quality Platform Releases) are focused on bringing bug fixing and stability improvements. We’re very close to the stable release.

[September 6, 2023]: Google kicks off Android 14 beta 5.3. Those running beta 5.2 should receive an OTA update for the latest beta update.

[August 25, 2023]: Android 14 beta 5.2 has been released.

[August 18, 2023]: Google was expected to release the stable Android 14 this month, but it seems we have to wait a little more, as another beta rolls out to Pixel devices – Android 14 beta 5.1.

[August 10, 2023]: Another beta update is rolling out. It’s called Android 14 beta 5. As you might have expected, the beta update brings improvements and bug fixes. There are new features as well, which you might want to play with if you’re a beta tester.

[July 27, 2023]: It’s time for Android 14 beta 4.1. It brings lots of bug fixing. The update will be available for Pixel 4a or later, running the beta version of Android 14.

[July 11, 2023]: Google has now released Android 14 beta 4. It is slowly rolling out to the beta testers. In addition to bug fixes and improvements, the beta 4 brings several new features.

[June 14, 2023]: Android 14 beta 3.1 is now live to fix known bugs, including issues with fingerprint unlocking. The latest patch also includes the June 2023 security patch. Those already enrolled in the beta program can update to the latest build.

[June 7, 2023]: Google has released Android 14 beta 3. It’s the first release to Platform Stability. It means that developers could start working on finalizing their apps for release.

[May 25, 2023]: Android 14 beta 2.1 is now available for Google Pixel devices. It includes bug fixes and improvements. If your device is running the Android 14 beta 2, update to beta 2.1 for fewer bugs and a better overall experience.

[May 10, 2023]: Google has released Android 14 beta 2 with more fixes and improvements. It also adds several new features.

Several smartphone giants have announced that they will release the beta update to select devices, giving users an early taste of Android 14.

[April 26, 2023]: Android 14 beta 1.1 goes live. It includes bug fixes and improvements to the first beta update.

[April 12, 2023]: Things are going as planned, as Google has now released the first beta build of Android 14. Anyone with a Google Pixel can install it and test out upcoming features and changes.

[March 8, 2023]: The second developer preview version for Android 14 is out. It gives you a quick look at some of the upcoming features in the next Android OS.

[February 8, 2023]: Google has announced the first developer preview version of Android 14. It’s intended for developers who want to test very early builds of Android 14.

  1. Hello, Samsung Company i am from Uganda my Samsung Galaxy A53 5G has not yet received update, whever i try to update, it tells me resistration failed and the last update it tells me 1 May 2023. What could be the problem
    thank you.
