Will Galaxy Tab S8 Series Get One UI 6.1 Update?
Samsung typically brings incremental One UI updates to all devices that receive the major update.
So, all the devices that have received One UI 6.0 will also get the One UI 6.1 update, and the Galaxy Tab S8 series will, too.

[May 16, 2024]: The Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra are now getting the One UI 6.1 update in India. You can identify the update by the following firmware version:
- Galaxy Tab S8: X700XXU6CXE2
- Galaxy Tab S8+: X800XXU6CXE2
- Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra: X900XXU6CXE2
[May 11, 2024]: One UI 6.1 is finally rolling out to the Galaxy Tab S8 series. The update is currently available to the Wi-Fi variants of the Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra in Europe and the US.
The One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy Tab S8 series includes the Galaxy AI features. Check out the best Galaxy AI features in case you aren’t aware of them.
[April 15, 2024]: Big News!!! Samsung has officially confirmed that the Galaxy AI features are coming to the Galaxy Tab S8 series with the One UI 6.1 update. (source)
[February 21, 2024]: Samsung has announced that One UI 6.1 will start rolling out in late March 2024. Sadly, this rollout timeline is for devices that are eligible for Galaxy AI, which includes the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series.
Samsung didn’t announce when the next One UI upgrade will be available for older devices that won’t get Galaxy AI, such as the Galaxy Tab S8 series.
[January 18, 2024]: The list of eligible devices for Galaxy AI is out, and sadly, it doesn’t include the Tab S8 series.
Devices that will get Galaxy AI with One UI 6.1 update include the S23 series, S23 FE, Fold 5, and Flip 5. The update will be distributed to these devices in the first half of this year.
One thing for sure is that the Tab S8, S8+, and S8 Ultra will get the One UI 6.1 update.
[January 17, 2024]: During the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung announced that Galaxy AI will come to select premium devices. They didn’t reveal device names, though.
It remains to be seen if the Galaxy AI is also coming to Galaxy Tab S8, S8+, and S8 Ultra.
