According to Samsung’s promise, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 will receive four generations of OS updates. So, they will also receive Android 15, as the devices were released with Android 11 in 2021.

[December 26, 2023]: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is now getting the One UI 6.0 update in India. It comes with the firmware version F926BXXU5GWL1 and has a download size of around 2.5GB. The update brings One UI 6.0 goodies and the December 2023 security patch.

[December 22, 2023]: Samsung is expanding the One UI 6.0 update reaches for Flip 3 and Fold 3 to Europe. The update brings a host of features and changes from the latest One UI skin. The devices get the December 2023 security patch as well.

To get the latest One UI update, go to Settings> Software update and hit the Download and install option.

[December 17, 2023]: Now, the factory-unlocked units of Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 have begun receiving the stable One UI 6.0 update, based on Android 14. The devices are also getting the December 2023 security patch.

[December 15, 2023]: The Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 are getting the stable One UI 6 update in the US. It’s rolling out to the carrier-locked units. The update brings all the One UI 6.0 goodies and the December 2023 security patch.

[December 9, 2023]: Finally! The stable Android 14 update has been released for the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Currently, it’s rolling out in the United States but should expand to more regions in the coming days.

Hopefully, the update will also come to Flip 3 soon.

To check for updates, go to Settings > Software updates and tap on Download and install.

[November 28, 2023]: Samsung has just released a new One UI 6.0 beta update for Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3. This is the third beta update, which is currently available in Korea. It should expand to other regions where the beta program is offered in the next few days.

If you are already enrolled in the One UI 6.0 beta program, go to Settings -> Software Update -> Download and install to check if the update is available for your device.

[November 18, 2023]: The November 2023 security update is expanding to more regions. Initially, it was limited to Europe, but now is rolling out in the United States. The update is rolling out to both carrier-locked and unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3.

[November 16, 2023]: The third-generation Samsung foldable phones are getting a new update. It brings the November 2023 security patch. While the Fold 3 is getting the update in Europe, Flip 3’s November update is rolling out to the US and Europe.

[November 14, 2023]: The Community Manager for the Samsung Community has released a timeline for the stable One UI 6.0 release. It’s for the European markets only. But we all know Samsung is quick enough to expand the update to more regions.

As per the proposed release timeline, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 should receive the stable One UI 6.0 update on November 27.

[November 9, 2023]: Samsung is expanding the One UI 6.0 beta 2 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 to Indian users. It carries the firmware version F721BXXU4ZWJJ.

The update includes fixes to some bugs and known issues. It also brings the November 2023 security patch.

[November 7, 2023]: The second One UI 6.0 beta update was recently announced for the Galaxy Z Fold 3, and now it’s rolling out to Galaxy Z Flip 3 as well.

The latest beta update for the Flip 3 is currently available in South Korea, with more regions to follow in the coming days.

[October 9, 2023]: Finally!!! Samsung has announced the One UI 6.0 beta update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Fold 3. As of now, it’s available for South Korean users, but it won’t take long to expand to more regions.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 users in South Korea can join the beta program via the Samsung Members app. Just open the app, tap on the One UI 6.0 beta program banner, and follow the on-screen instructions.

[October 6, 2023]: While the wait for One UI 6.0 beta continues, Samsung is rolling out the October 2023 security patch to Galaxy Z Flip 3. It’s currently available in some Latin American countries, with more markets to follow soon.

[September 21, 2023]: An official forum moderator on the Samsung Community has confirmed the arrival of One UI 6.0 beta for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Flip 3. These devices will be getting the beta update next month.
