Xiaomi’s high-end Mix series is rumored to be getting a new member soon. Currently, the latest from the series is the Mix 4, which came last year as the company’s first under-screen selfie camera phone. Xiaomi implemented the under-display selfie camera technology in Mix 4 so well that it was barely visible. On the other hand, Samsung’s solution in Galaxy Z Fold3 didn’t get much praise as it was clearly visible. In the next Mix series phone – Xiaomi Mix 5 – we might even see a better implementation of this technology and more improvements in other areas.

The upcoming Xiaomi Mix 5 is rumored to carry model number 2203121C, which has now been spotted on Geekbench (via MySmartPrice) along with its key specifications. As per the listing, the new Xiaomi Mix series phone will boot Android 12 OS with a layer of MIUI skin at the top. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, paired with 12GB RAM.

On Geekbench v5, the Xiaomi device has managed to pull off 1257 points and 3456 points in the single-core and multi-core tests. The Mix 5 is rumored to come with a powerful set of cameras. There are rumors of a Pro version in the Mix 5 lineup. CAD-based renders of Mix 5 Pro published by LetsGoDigital show a bezel-less display with rounded corners. On the back, it has a giant round-shaped camera module. The device is expected to feature an AMOLED display, a 48MP under-screen selfie camera, and a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN5 primary sensor on the rear side.

As of now, there’s no word from Xiaomi regarding the launch of Mix 5. However, rumors are that it might get unveiled in the second half of this year.
