After a rough couple of months, Samsung’s security update rollout is finally getting back on track. The April 2026 patch is now available for over a dozen Galaxy devices, with the Galaxy S26 series in South Korea being the first to receive it. The list has been growing since, covering a solid range of flagships, foldables, and mid-range phones.
It’s worth putting this in context. Both the February 2026 and March 2026 patches ran into delays, which meant a lot of Galaxy users were sitting on outdated security patches longer than usual. This month, things appear to be moving more smoothly.
The April 2026 patch addresses 47 vulnerabilities spanning Android and One UI, including critical and high-severity issues. It also includes Samsung Semiconductor patches and fixes bugs in specific features like Device Care and DeX. In short, it’s not just a routine update.

Samsung rolls out updates in stages, so even if your device is on the list, it might be a few days before the update shows up. To check manually, go to Settings > Software update and tap Download and install if there’s an update available. Once the file is ready, hit Install now. The process takes a few minutes and ends with a reboot.
The Galaxy S26 series was naturally first in line, and more devices will continue to join the rollout over the coming days and weeks. We’ll keep this updated as the patch reaches more Galaxy phones and tablets. Stay tuned, and follow our Samsung section for the latest.
