Here’s when Samsung may begin One UI 8.5 rollout

Samsung One UI 8.5 rollout date

Samsung may be just days away from rolling out the stable version of One UI 8.5, according to a new tip that points to specific release dates for the Galaxy S25 series and a broader rollout window for other eligible devices.

The stable One UI 8.5 update has been a long time coming. Samsung launched the beta program for the Galaxy S25 series back in December and has since pushed out ten beta builds, which is significantly more than the five or six builds the company typically releases before moving to a stable version.

According to a tipster on X, @Alfaturk16, now claims Samsung is targeting April 30 or May 1 for the initial stable release in South Korea, with a global rollout for the S25 series expected to follow on May 4.

That’s not all. The same source says Samsung plans to push the stable One UI 8.5 build to most other eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets between May 4 and May 30. If accurate, that means a wide range of Galaxy devices could be running the finished software within the next few weeks.

It’s worth keeping in mind that this is unconfirmed information from a tipster, not an official Samsung announcement. That said, the timing lines up with last week’s appearance of a stable One UI 8.5 changelog for the Galaxy S25 series, which suggested the release was getting close.

The extended beta cycle with ten builds suggests Samsung has been unusually thorough with testing this time around, which could mean a cleaner stable release than usual. Whether that’s reflected in the final product remains to be seen.

If you’re on a Galaxy device beyond the S25 series, the May 4 to May 30 window gives you a rough idea of when to expect the update. Samsung typically begins these broader rollouts in South Korea before expanding globally, so the wait could vary depending on your region and device model.
