Galaxy M07, F07, and F16 are getting the April 2026 security update

Samsung’s April 2026 security patch keeps spreading to more Galaxy devices. This time, it’s the Galaxy M07, Galaxy F07, and Galaxy F16 picking it up across India and Sri Lanka.

The Galaxy M16 got the same patch recently, and now its budget siblings are following along. For the Galaxy M07, the update arrives with build number M075FXXS5BZD3 and is currently rolling out in India. The Galaxy F07, which is essentially the M07’s sibling, is getting an identical package under build number E075FXXS5BZD3, covering both India and Sri Lanka.

The Galaxy F16 is part of this wave too. Its update carries firmware version E166PXXS5CZD2 and is also live in India and Sri Lanka.

Samsung’s April 2026 patch addresses 47 vulnerabilities identified by Samsung, Google, and partner companies. There’s nothing flashy here in terms of new features, but the update does strengthen the overall security posture and brings general stability improvements.

As for what’s next, these devices are expected to eventually receive Android 16 QPR2-based One UI 8.5. Samsung has reportedly already started internal testing, with these models showing up on test servers. If things go smoothly, the rollout could start around the end of June. That said, the exact timeline for One UI 8.5 is still entirely up to Samsung, and nothing has been officially confirmed yet.

To check for the update on your device, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once it’s downloaded, tap Install now. Your phone will restart and apply the update automatically.

We’ll keep you updated as more devices receive the April patch and as the One UI 8.5 rollout gets closer.
