The Galaxy S26 series is getting its second software update for April 2026, and it’s now reaching Europe after Samsung initially pushed it out to South Korea and the US a few days ago.
The update carries firmware version S94xBXXU2AZDE and is available for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. It’s not a small download either. The Galaxy S26 Ultra’s build weighs in at roughly 756.98MB, with the other models expected to be similar in size.

In terms of what’s actually inside, Samsung’s changelog points to the usual mix of security improvements, bug fixes, and performance enhancements, along with some new or refined features. One thing that stands out, even if it isn’t explicitly called out in the changelog, is a likely fix for the focus issues that showed up with the 3x telephoto camera when Virtual Aperture was active. There may be other camera-related changes bundled in as well. Samsung’s April 2026 security patch details are out, and it fixes 47 vulnerabilities, so this update brings that protection to European units of the S26 series too.
If you’re on a Galaxy S26, S26+, or S26 Ultra in Europe, checking for the update is straightforward. Head to Settings, tap Software update, then hit Check for updates. Once it’s downloaded, tap Install now and your phone will restart within a few minutes.
It’s worth keeping an eye on these Galaxy devices that have received the April 2026 security update if you’re on a different Samsung device and waiting for your turn. Meanwhile, Samsung is already thinking several steps ahead, with One UI 9 already in early testing on select Galaxy devices.
