Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE, S9 FE+ Software Update Policy
The Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ are eligible for the One UI 6.0 upgrade, based on Android 14.

Samsung has promised four major Android updates for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and S9 FE+. Since they were released with Android 13, you’ll get OS updates until Android 17.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE, S9 FE+ Android 14 Update Tracker
[January 1, 2024]: The One UI 6.0 update for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ is now available in Turkey and Australia. It’s rolling out with the following firmware versions:
- Galaxy Tab S9 FE: X510XXU1BWK9
- Galaxy Tab S9 FE+: X610XXU1BWK9
[December 13, 2023]: The One UI 6.0 update for Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ is now available in more than a dozen countries. It includes Afghanistan, China, Egypt, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Israel, Malaysia, Morocco, New Zealand, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand, the UAE, and Vietnam.
[December 6, 2023]: Finally! Samsung is pushing the stable One UI 6.0 update to the FE editions of Galaxy Tab S9. Both the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ are now getting their first major OS update in the form of Android 14.
The latest software for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ can be identified by the firmware version X516BXXU1BWK9 and X616BXXU1BWK9. Samsung has also included the November 2023 security patch in it for security enhancements.
Currently, the update is live in Europe, with more regions to follow in the coming days. If you have the device and live in Europe, go to Settings > Software update and tap Download and install to get the update.
[November 27, 2023]: The stable One UI 6.0 release for the Galaxy Tab S9 series has now reached the US and Canada, but the rollout hasn’t begun for Tab S9 FE and S9 FE+ users. Hopefully, the update will go live in early December.
[November 22, 2023]: Samsung is rolling out the stable Android 14 update with One UI 6.0 to Galaxy Tab S9, S9+, and S9 Ultra. Sadly, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ are not a part of this release.
[October 4, 2023]: After months of beta testing, Google has finally announced the stable Android 14. It will be available to all eligible Pixel devices in the coming days, but it may take a few weeks for other smartphone brands to start rolling out.
