Samsung promised the global One UI 8.5 stable rollout for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE would begin on May 11, and the company has delivered right on schedule.
The stable One UI 8.5 rollout kicked off last week, and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE was actually among the earlier devices to receive it. The catch was that Samsung kept it limited to South Korea at first. Now, the global push has begun, starting with Europe. The update carries Android 16 QPR2 under the hood, bringing the redesigned interface and all the features that have been in testing over the past several months.
The Flip 7 FE follows a familiar path that other devices took before it. Samsung first sent the stable build to the Galaxy S25 series, then to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, and the Flip 7 FE is next in line. It’s the more affordable sibling of the Flip 7, so it’s good to see it not lagging too far behind on the software side.
If you’re in Europe and own a Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, head to Settings > Software updates and tap Download and install to check if it’s ready for you. If it hasn’t shown up yet, give it a few days since these rollouts tend to expand gradually.
