Samsung’s stable One UI 8.5 rollout is picking up steam. Earlier today, the update went live for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, and now the Galaxy S25 FE is also getting in on the action, starting with South Korea.
The build rolling out to the S25 FE carries a firmware version ending in BZDP and is based on Android 16. If your device was enrolled in the One UI 8.5 beta program, the download is relatively light at around 367.63MB. For everyone else, expect something north of 4GB, so a stable Wi-Fi connection is a good idea before hitting that install button.

To check for the update, head to Settings > Software update and tap Check for updates. Once it’s downloaded, tap Install now and give your phone a few minutes to restart.
As for what’s actually new, One UI 8.5 brings a refreshed UI design along with several Galaxy AI additions. Bixby also gets a notable upgrade here, with conversation history now supported and a Perplexity AI agent built in. On the connectivity side, there’s Bluetooth Auracast for audio casting, Storage Share, and Quick Share now works with AirDrop, which is a handy addition for users who switch between Android and iOS devices. The overall design language across stock One UI apps has also been cleaned up.
South Korea is the first market to receive the update, which is typical for Samsung rollouts. If you’re in another region, it shouldn’t take long for the update to reach your device. Keep checking Settings and you’ll likely find it within the next few days.
