Leak Reveals Xiaomi 12 Pricing and Full Specifications Ahead of the Launch

Xiaomi 12 series is all set to launch on December 28 in China. As we are getting close to the launch date, the company is teasing more of its specifications to build hype around the users – a general trend that we see with most smartphone launches. While we wait for the company to reveal more specifications, a Chinese leakster on Weibo has posted an official-looking Xiaomi 12 poster, that reveals its entire specifications and pricing, as well.

Xiaomi 12 is touted as the compact flagship smartphone. The leaked poster shows a 6.28-inch AMOLED screen with 1080 x 2400 pixels FullHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support. The panel supports 10-bit colors, and 16000-level brightness, and is Display Mate A+ certified for eye protection.

The Xiaomi phone has a rectangular camera island on the back that includes three sensors and an LED flash unit. The poster reveals that the camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide lens with a 123-degree field-of-view, and the third one is a Zoom lens, which supports OIS, 3x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, and 30x digital zoom.

Xiaomi 12 is already confirmed to pack Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The SoC is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 fast storage. The phone has a battery capacity of 4,500mAh and supports 67W fast wired charging and 30W wireless charging. On the software front, it boots MIUI 13 skin, which is based on Android 12.

In terms of connectivity, Xiaomi 12 features Wi-Fi 6, NFC, Bluetooth v5.2, 5G, and a USB Type-C port. The phone supports Hi-res audio, Dolby Atmos, and features an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Coming to the pricing part, the Xiaomi 12 will cost 3,699 Yuan (roughly Rs 43,700) for the 8GB + 128GB variant, 3,999 Yuan (approximately Rs 47,300) for the 8GB + 256GB variant, and goes all the way to 4,399 Yuan (approximately Rs 52,000) for the top-end 12GB + 256GB variant. According to the tipster, except for the pricing and camera details, the rest of the specifications are correct. The poster does not seem to be legit. So, we advise you to digest these pieces of information with a pinch of salt.
