Samsung’s One UI 8.5 stable update has started reaching Galaxy S25 FE users beyond South Korea. The rollout kicked off in the home market last week, and India is now confirming availability too, suggesting the global wave is underway.
The One UI 8.5 stable update landing on the S25 FE is a fairly big deal for Fan Edition buyers. The update brings the same design refinements, performance improvements, and new features that debuted on the flagship S25 lineup. Samsung hasn’t held much back from the FE variant here, and most of what’s on the premium models has made its way over.

What’s worth highlighting is that Samsung placed the Galaxy S25 FE in the first wave of the One UI 8.5 rollout. That’s not always a given for Fan Edition devices, and it signals Samsung’s intent to treat this one more like a mainstream flagship than a budget afterthought. The Galaxy S25 series received One UI 8.5 not long ago, and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 are also in the mix, so this rollout is moving at a decent pace across the lineup.
Whether the second wave in South Korea expands today or takes a little longer isn’t clear yet, but with India already seeing the firmware, other regions shouldn’t be far behind.
To install the update, go to Settings > Software updates and tap Download and install. Your phone will check for the update and prompt you from there.
