There are a number of factors why a phone might face connectivity issues. It can occur if your phone has software bugs or facing temporary system glitches. While it’s uncommon, your network could be under maintenance, which generally lasts for an hour or two. Instead of waiting for the network issues to get automatically fixed, here are a couple of quick solutions you can try.

Here’s How to Fix Pixel 5 Network or Connectivity Issues

In this section, you’ll find some quick-to-implement solutions to fix the network issues on your Google Pixel. Simply, keep on testing the solutions until the problem is fixed.

Solution 1: Restart Your Phone

Restarting the device pushes the device to search for network signals. It will also fix minor software bugs and issues (if there are any). This method works often when troubleshooting network-related issues.

To restart your Google Pixel 5, press and hold the power button until the power menu appears. Tap on the Restart option and wait for the device to boot up. Your phone should now have better network coverage.

Solution 2: Re-Insert the Sim Card

If you are not getting good signal strength or not getting any signal at all, removing and then re-inserting the sim card could help. Get the sim ejector tool and carefully take out the sim card. Now, wait for a minute and then insert the sim card. It may take a few minutes for the networks to appear.

Make sure that you’ve inserted the sim card in the slot 1. Once done, check if your device network issue has gone.

If you having problems with your Wi-Fi connection, skip the next solution.

Solution 3: Change These Network Settings

Your network settings can greatly impact the internet speed and signal strength. First, make sure that your device can take advantage of all the network types – 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G. For this, go to Settings -> Wireless and Network -> Wi-Fi & Network -> SIM & Network -> Preferred Network Type and tap on 2G/3G/4G/5G. When this option is selected, your device automatically chooses the best network type.

If the problem persists, you can manually register the network. Just go to Settings -> Wireless and Network -> Wi-Fi & Network -> SIM & Network -> Select the SIM Card -> Network Operators -> and uncheck Choose Automatically. This will force the device to manually fetch the available networks. Tap on your sim carrier to register it.

Solution 4: Re-Connect to Your Wi-Fi Network

If your Pixel 5 is connected to a Wi-Fi network, but can’t provide the internet connection or is too low, then you should forget and then connect to the Wi-Fi network again. The device will try to establish the connection again and this could fix the connectivity issues on your Pixel 5. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings and click Network and Internet.
  2. Tap on Wi-Fi.
  3. Tap the gear icon next to your Wi-Fi network and click Forget. This will remove disconnect the Wi-Fi connection and remove the password.
  4. Tap on your Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and click Connect.

Once you’ve re-connected your Pixel 5 to a Wi-Fi network, check if the issue is fixed. You can do a speed test to check for the increase in download speed and upload speed.

Solution 5: Reset Network Settings

It’s one of the most effective solutions to fix network and connectivity issues on a smartphone. Before I tell you how to reset network settings on your Google Pixel 5, it’s important to note that doing this will remove all saved Wi-Fi networks and paired Bluetooth devices. So, if you are okay with it, apply the below steps:

  1. Go to Settings on your Google Pixel.
  2. Scroll down to System and tap on it.
  3. Tap on Advance and select Reset Options.
  4. Tap on Reset Wi-Fi, mobile and Bluetooth.
  5. Click Reset Settings in the lower-right corner.
  6. Confirm your lock screen (if prompted) and click Reset Settings again.

After resetting the network settings, check if the internet speed has increased.

Solution 6: Factory Reset Your Pixel

Although I think the above solutions are enough to fix any sort of network or connectivity issues on your Pixel, if the problem persists, you can factory reset the device. This should remove all software-related issues from your phone. Before factory resetting your phone, back up your phone to avoid any data loss.

How to factory reset your Google Pixel 5:

  1. Go to Settings and click System.
  2. Tap on Advanced.
  3. Click Reset Options and then tap on Erase all data.
  4. Tap on Erase all data at the bottom-right corner. Confirm your lock screen (if prompted).
  5. Click Erase all data again to begin the factory resetting process.

So, that’s how you can easily fix Google Pixel 5 network or connectivity issues. I hope one of the solutions helped you. If you have any questions, do write them in the comments below.
